Who is this God you speak of?
I know the shows the boy watches, the music he listens to, the kids he hangs out with, and every ounce of him that I could know. What I do not know however is, how did my child get so religious? How does he know the word of God? Like a child would do, while curious, I asked.
Elijah has informed me that he learns about God from God. He says that God whispers in his ear and tells him things. Like how to treat people, right and wrong, respect, how babies are brought to existence, what his [Elijah] name means, and various other things. He also comes to him in his dreams and teaches him things.
The child has never stepped a foot in a church, never been to Mass, has been to the Kingdom Hall maybe twice, but he was like two years old, and was acting a fool both times. Elijahs thought process in this religious stuff is the same way that I was raised, as if he himself was a Catholic and went to Mass and CCD weekly.
Although I am not into organized religion, I will let this little guy do his thing and allow him to believe as he pleases!

Something Happened Today
Something happened today that I wasn't expecting and it threw me off guard. And it brought-forth an emotional response that was so over powering that it made me cry. Simple little things that can be said, heard, or read can make someone feel things that they shouldn't, however the same things can happen and make someone feel a way that is amazing. I will stick with the latter.
I had been sorting through the contents of my hallway and the boys bathroom, and by contents I mean laundry. At some point during this sorting, I realized it was time to go get the boys, so off I zoomed to the bus stop. It was hot outside, and the windows were down, I was enjoying the music down the short stretch of highway. I was looking a hot mess, all wind blown. The bus was running late, so I had to sweat it out for a few minutes in the car. When the boys got to the car, they saw me and of course had their happy faces on, but they were surprisingly quiet.
After a few moments they start talking (well whispering to each other) and all of a sudden I hear "Mommy can you turn the radio down for a minute?" So I obliged. Then I hear this......................"Mommy, you look really messy and hot." Followed by the sweatest words I have ever heard "But you look beautiful even when your messy!" Then I love you's followed.
I don't know why but that made me bust into tears, which momentarily confused thing one and thing two. They were worried that they hurt my feelings by saying I was messy. No, it was the total opposite. To know that love is so powerful and honest, it was breath taking.
Made me realize that all the fences that I have been trying in vain to fix, are not at all worth the time or efforts to mend because I have all the fencing that I need.
