Last week, I met with a lawyer and filed for divorce, and on Monday David was served with papers. I did not realize that it would be filed Friday and he would be served on Monday. It happened so quickly, I was thinking it would be served to him on Thursday or Friday of this week. I am a rather lucky gal in that I have an amazing lawyer who I am super excited to be working with during what David said will be a battle for the kids.
I am more than ready for this big step in my life, it is just one more step of my plan to better myself in 2011. I have accomplished so much in the first four months of this year, and I have a list of other things to get done in the next eight. Nothing and no one is going to stand in my way. I have a long way to go, but I am focused and ready!
My boys and I will (ok, so maybe just me) look back at this year and say "Damn look at all the things that changed [for the positive none the less] and look how happy we have become!".
