Proud Mommy Moment

I was such a proud mommy last night. David and I went to a PTO meeting followed by another hour and a half of other random workshops. David as normal was too bored to stay awake, and slept most of the time. They did mention something about video games, and I am sure he was alert for that. In one of the workshops they spoke about reading and how important it is, and that in the first grade every child needs to read for 10 mins a night. Well I too find the importance in it, and have been making Elijah read for 20 mins a night, so we are one up on that.

At one point I was able to talk one on one with Elijah's language arts teacher and she spoke so highly of him, and told me that he has been bringing so much personality into the classroom and has been doing exceptionally well in the last two weeks. I was not about to indulge in details to her as to the large difference in Elijah's life, but I would like to think it was due to the move. I do not know what it is, but I will say that I am proud of him for doing so well and trying so hard, even while watching his mommy and daddy go through this BS.
