Grades, College, Books

Here is what one teacher stated in reference to something I had written for a student in their class. They did not know that the student was not the writer of the paper, and the student had no clue as to what I had written about.

Great! I like the way you relate the Chinese idea that everyone is related to Southern culture; it's true! Good point about the story probably being a fable, and your paper demonstrates that you read and understand the inherent message of the work.

Although this was a brief compliment on "my" grade, I am quite proud of it. As well, I pulled off a five page research paper in less than twelve hours, with plenty of distractions and breaks in between. I am waiting to hear how that grade went, as I worked hard for whatever "I" deserve.

I have decided to enroll to Albany State University for the Fall term to major in journalism or communications or English. I would love to write or edit, but both of those skills certainly need some brushing up upon. I am excited, now to get all of my transcripts over to ASU and talk to an advisor or something to get this ball rolling.

I started reading Lovely Bones today, so far so good, and I am only on the first page of the second chapter. One of my problems with reading is that I love books, don't get me wrong, but if I get distracted or stop reading them even if for a day, it is hard to pick them back up. Hmmm, sounds similar to my dieting efforts, always left by the waist side, no pun intended.
